The creative engineering design project was a project where my group and I had to identify a specific world problem and create a system or an object to help solve that problem. My group decided to try and solve the refugee sheltering situation. The presentation below will explain.
Concepts
1. Ask a question: How can we make life easier for refugees
2. Background research: We looked for types of refugee camps, conditions, rations, casualties and family life in the camps
3. Generate ideas: Build a Large camp with security, build bunkers, design a tent, build a TRSR and TRSA
4. Select a solution: Build a tent
5. Plan the solution: Needs to be durable, address the UNHCR about the topic.
6. Test the plan: We just designed a 3D model of THE tent
7. Redesign: We switched to a standard tent to an accordion style
8. Share: Contact UNHCR

Reflection
I feel like the project could have gone better, but I was satisfied with the result. (Pit 1)I feel like I could have done better on my attitude and demeanor, I seemed awfully annoyed and stressed. (Peak 1)I did well with time and efficiency, I finished to 3D model in a short time, I found the material cost within the period, and I made a major contribution to the project. (Pit 2) Although I could have made my group more useful, which is something I need to work on. (Pit 3)I need to express my ideas as well as listen to others with an open mind. I needed to work better with my team. Even if they were talking with their friends instead of working on the project, I could have made them more involved. We did a pretty good job on researching the problem.(Peak 2) I think I did well in terms of keeping the group together, despite my third pit. But over all I think we did a pretty decent job with the time and resources that we had.
